Webseries - Scott Ian's Set Report

Lately, Make up Artist Greg Nicotero turned actor Scott Ian for his new webseries into an undead zombie. Read here, Scott Ian's Report:

Hmmm, let’s see, well I played some guitar, did some catching up on my reading and oh yeah, I GOT TO BE A FUCKING ZOMBIE ON WALKING DEAD.

OK so here’s the scoop…

My agent got the call asking if I wanted to come down and get made up to play a zombie in a webisode for AMC’s Walking Dead directed by Greg Nicotero (effects GOD, check out the resume: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0630524/). I couldn’t say yes to this fast enough. Like I said in my Tweet, I’ve been wanting to do this my whole life. Zombies have always been my favorite genre of horror and to participate in something as killer as Walking Dead would just be amazing.

Truly my Make A Wish moment!

Interview: Robert Kirkman talks Season 2

We have a lot of questions about the second season of The Walking Dead. We know you do, too, so we jumped at the chance to speak to executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and Glen Mazzara after a special screening of the second season premiere (yes, it was awesome. No, you aren't getting more details). Naturally, the subject of creator and executive producer Frank Darabont's sudden exit came up, a topic which made Mazzara defensive and on-edge. Which is understandable - Mazzara took over Darabont's showrunner duties. It wasn't all about Darabont, though. Read on to find out about season two gore, event episodes, and how the show exists side-by-side with the comics (yeah, it's mostly about Frank).

There seemed to be complaints among fans that the first season moved too slowly. In season two, are there more "event" episodes?

Producers Discuss Frank Darabont’s Departure

Frank Darabont’s departure from The Walking Dead has certainly left fans of the zombie series more than a little concerned that the show will suffer as a result.

Not so, says the new No. 1 Glen Mazzara, who spoke with the media concerning how his take on the material will not be an attempt to emulate Darabont’s style.

The Walking Dead - Season 2 - International Trailer

This one above is called "international Trailer", but it looks to me like the same one, we've lately seen 2011 Comic Con. Right?

What Really Happened to Fired Showrunner Frank Darabont

The cast is "scared," the crew is crushed after Darabont is canned while working to fix an episode that a director turned in with unusable footage.

When Frank Darabont appeared on a Comic-Con panel July 22 to promote The Walking Dead, he didn't realize he was a dead man walking. Neither did the cast and crew. Everyone was shocked when news broke three days later that AMC had taken the extraordinary step of firing Darabont from the network's biggest ratings hit.

Lori and Shane's pre-zombiepocalypse life will be revealed this fall.

Walking Dead: Lori and Shane's pre-zombiepocalypse life will be revealed this fall. "It was fun to step out of the zombie world and show Lori with a BlackBerry," says Sarah Wayne Callies. "The scene underscores how deeply Lori and Shane love [her son] Carl, plus I hope it will finally put to bed the ridiculous rumors that an affair was going on before [Lori's husband and Shane's friend] Rick 'died.'" Additionally, creator Robert Kirkman is considering penning a Dead graphic novel, "Volume Zero," that would show just how the two went from grieving friends to lovers.

Walking Dead Boss says, "Season 2 Offers a Full-On Exploration of a Zombie's"

As The Walking Dead‘s Oct. 16 return date ssssslllllowly, stealthily approaches, here’s some food for thought: Is there any nutritional value to raw brains? That’s a question producers plan to tackle during the show’s highly-anticipated second season.

In the AMC series’ all-too-brief freshman run, “We never really got into all the nutritional components of a zombie’s diet or what a walker eats on a regular basis,” executive producer Robert Kirkman notes. “We’re going to learn a little bit more from scientific point-of-view about their nutritional composition. It’s an all-encompassing exploration of the digestive system of a zombie.”
